Sparkle into a Bloxwich Christmas, organised by Walsall Council’s district centre management team working alongside Bloxwich Business Partnership, Rotary Club of Bloxwich Phoenix and St Giles Walsall Hospice, will be held on Saturday 26 November from 11am to 3pm.
Focused around High Street and Market Place, events include:-
* Christmas trail
* Santa on his sleigh handing out gifts
* Bloxwich school choir performances
* Christmas drinks and cakes
* Christmas entertainment acts including a giant snowman
* Festive themed window displays in shops
And signs of the approaching festive season are also appearing around the town with two new Christmas trees being planted ahead of this year’s celebrations in Promenade Gardens and at All Saints Church. The tree in Promenade Gardens replaces a similar one which was hit by last year’s heavy frost while the remembrance tree at All Saints Church has been organised by the Rotary Club of Bloxwich Phoenix.
Councillor Adrian Andrew, Walsall Council cabinet member for regeneration, said: “There is masses going on in Bloxwich town centre over the next few weeks with the start marked by the planting of the new Christmas tree in Promenade Gardens.
“It is great to see a variety of organisations coming together to ensure Christmas in Bloxwich really sparkles again this year and I would urge people to come along to the event on 26 November and also take the opportunity to have a look around the town and see exactly what it has to offer. This is another great example of how successful the district centre management team has been.”
St Giles Walsall Hospice will also be holding a Santa dash and stroll at Bloxwich Park, High Street, on the same day. The stroll starts at 10am.
Entry fee is £7.50 for adults and £2.50 for children. For a registration pack call 01922 602520 or email email@example.com
