It’s all systems go in Bloxwich for the Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at the beginning of June! And there’ll be loads to see and do for all ages!
Exciting and fun events have been lined up by various community organisations, Bloxwich Business Partnership, Bloxwich Carnival Committee and Walsall Council over the Diamond Jubilee season, so The Bloxwich Telegraph thought it would be useful for our readers to list those that we know about here.

DIAMOND JUBILEE CELEBRATION DAY AT STAN BALL CENTRE
Friday 1 June, 11am to 3pm.
Stan Ball Centre, Abbotts Street, Bloxwich, WS3 3AZ.
Free Admission – come and meet the Centre’s very own elected “Queen for the Day”. Local magician Damon Conlan will be appearing from 11am-12pm, and after lunch Val Rivers’s sing-a-long entertainment show amongst other activities. The Bistro will be serving hot and cold snacks, homemade cakes, hot meals and drinks.
JUBILEE DAY AT ABBEY PRIMARY SCHOOL, BLOXWICH
Friday 1 June, from 1pm.
Abbey Primary School, Glastonbury Crescent, Mossley, Bloxwich.
The children will be making Jubilee themed kites and flying them on the field. The whole school are having a lunchtime/afternoon garden party with an Ice Cream Van, Bouncy castle for KS2 and a Party bus for Nursery, Reception and KS1. This is a sponsored event for the NSPCC, paying £1 to fly a kite.
BLAKENALL VILLAGE CENTRE JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS
Friday 1 June, 2.00pm – 7.00pm
There will be a barbeque, bouncy castle, kids ride, live music most of the day (songs of the last 60 years),featuring Rose Red. A real family orientated afternoon of fun !
BLOXWICH CELEBRATES THE QUEEN’S DIAMOND JUBILEE
Saturday 2 June, 10am to 2pm.
Bloxwich village centre.
Come along to Bloxwich Business Partnership’s patriotic event and see what Bloxwich has on offer. With shop window displays, Olympic themed trail and childrens’ activities for all the family to join in. Come and see the hand-made bunting that has been installed in the market for all to see. The bunting has been made by our local schools and community, come and see and be proud of our community!
GRAND JUBILEE PARTY AT ST JOHN’S, BLOXWICH

BEECHDALE JUBILEE PICNIC

Diamond Jubilee Picnic at Mirus Academy (Frank F Harrison School), all people are encouraged to wear Red, White & Blue. The day will consist of small fairground rides & games, table top stalls, performances from local young people, football games and a crown competition.

This year’s Bloxwich Carnival Royalty are :
Carnival Queen Alice Jones, Carnival Princess Amelia Ellis and Carnival Rosebud Megan Leigh Small.
These wonderful young Bloxwich ladies will be crowned by local dignitaries at 12.45pm after a short carriage ride from outside All Saints Church.
Top stunt motorbikes and crazy acts in the arena plus much more join dozens of stalls and displays as well as the super Pat Collins Fun Fair for this year’s Diamond Jubilee themed Bloxwich Carnival.
