Sneak-in burglar targets elderly victims

Staffordshire Police officers are investigating a series of sneak-in burglaries at warden-controlled accommodation in Cheslyn Hay.   It is believed that the offender may be from the Bloxwich, Walsall or Pelsall area.

The crimes happened between 4.30pm and 5.25pm on Wednesday 30 November at the building in High Street, Cheslyn Hay.

The offender, a woman, entered the accommodation and stole items from four flats.  The items taken included:

  • A black handbag and its contents which included cash and sentimental items.
  • A purse and the contents of a handbag.
  • A black leather handbag including a purse and its contents.
  • A wallet containing cash.

The woman is described as white, aged in her 20s or 30s, with dark hair and what appeared to be a tanned complexion. She was wearing a light-coloured coat, dark jeans, and white trainers.
