Crime update for the Bloxwich area

Police checking out a rooftop.

Please note there has been a small increase in burglaries, in particular with shops and sheds being targeted. There was also a rooftop break-in at a factory, for which three offenders have been arrested.

Shops are being entered through the front, with cigarettes and cash being among the items taken.

Please advise your neighbours to take extra precautions.  If you need security advice visit the West Midlands Police website (www.west-midlands.police.uk) or contact Crime Reduction Officer PC Darren Robbins on 01922 433277.

There has also been a small increase in thefts from parked vehicles in the area.  In many cases sat navs or items left in gloveboxes has been stolen.  Please remind your neighbours to remove all items from vehicles when leaving them, even if only for a short period.

The police will be employing a number of tactics to reduce crime in the Bloxwich area, including increased patrols.  You can help by warning your neighbours and by being vigilant.
